Terms of Service
Terms of Service
1. Service Scope
Central Florida Tech Rescue (CFL Tech Rescue) provides e-waste collection, responsible recycling, and secure data destruction services to residential and commercial clients within our designated service areas.
2. Pickup Preparation & Accessibility
To ensure safe and efficient service, clients are responsible for ensuring pickup items are easily accessible in the location specified during the scheduling process (e.g., porch, garage, or designated pickup point). CFL Tech Rescue reserves the right to decline a pickup if the items are in an unsecure, inaccessible, or hazardous location.
3. Acceptable Materials & Refusal of Service
CFL Tech Rescue focuses exclusively on IT and computer equipment. We reserve the right to refuse the collection of any materials that do not meet our recycling criteria, including but not limited to televisions (flat screen or CRT), standard office printers, or any hazardous materials. We do not accept items that have been damaged in a way that creates a safety risk to our team.
4. Data Destruction Protocols
Data security is our primary focus. CFL Tech Rescue employs industry-standard data destruction practices, including the physical destruction of storage media (hard drives, etc.). While we utilize established protocols such as NIST 800-88 guidelines to manage our destruction processes, CFL Tech Rescue is not responsible for data recovery. Customers are solely responsible for backing up any data they wish to retain prior to the handover of equipment.
5. Limitation of Liability
CFL Tech Rescue is not responsible for any data loss, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the recycling or destruction process. By surrendering equipment, the customer acknowledges that the items are intended for recycling and will not be returned.
6. Force Majeure
CFL Tech Rescue shall not be held liable for failure to perform duties due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, traffic accidents, or other "Acts of God" that may delay or prevent a scheduled pickup.
7. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms periodically to reflect changes in our service or regulatory requirements. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of these updated terms.
