Central Florida is one of the fastest-growing regions in the country, and with that growth comes a massive amount of "hidden" waste. Most people have a drawer or a garage full of old laptops and phones because they don't know how to get rid of them safely.
Preventing Toxic Leaching: Electronics contain lead, mercury, and cadmium. When left in a landfill, these "forever chemicals" can seep into our groundwater.
Resource Recovery: Your "junk" contains gold, silver, and copper. By recycling, we reduce the need for destructive mining of new raw materials.
Zero-Landfill Goal: Our mission is to ensure that 100% of the hardware we collect is either refurbished for a second life or broken down for raw material reclamation.
A: Local Speed & Care: We aren't a national chain. We are your neighbors in Lake County. When you schedule with us, you get a direct line of communication and a pickup that usually happens within 24–48 hours—not weeks.
A: Data Security is the Priority: Most junk haulers just toss your computer in a pile. Big-box stores often ship your devices to massive processing centers where they sit in bins for months. At CFL Tech Rescue, we specialize in hardware; we treat every device as a data security responsibility from the moment it enters our vehicle.
A: Supporting the Local Economy: By using a local service, you’re helping build a specialized tech-recovery business right here in Central Florida. We take pride in our community and work hard to keep Florida’s environment clean.
A: Yes. For residents and small businesses in our service area, pickup is 100% free. We make our living by reclaiming the value of the raw materials inside the tech, not by charging you.
A: This is our #1 priority. We don't just "delete" files; we physically destroy the storage drives. Once we take it, that data is gone forever.
A: We do sometimes take TVs and printers. Please ask us first. Generally, we do not accept CRT (tube) TVs or standard office printers due to the high cost of processing their glass and ink components. We focus strictly on computing and gaming hardware.
A: Not at all! Most of our pickups are contactless. Just let us know where you'll leave the items (porch, garage, etc.) on the request form, and we’ll text you once they are secured in our vehicle.
